Holy Yoga

Holy Yoga

“For in Him we live and move and have our being”  Acts 17:28

Our sole purpose through Holy Yoga is to connect people to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on and off our mats.

If you have taken Yoga classes before, you will find that the physical aspect of Holy Yoga is the same, as all the same poses are used, which is why it is still called “Yoga”.  It is in the mental and spiritual focus where Holy Yoga differs. Holy Yoga is a form of experiential worship that was created to introduce physical worship of the Lord through prayer, meditation, breath work, and movement. Holy Yoga is for everybody, regardless of age, race, denomination, or even physical health level. Holy Yoga fuses bhaki (meaning devotion) and hatha (which is linking yoga postures with breath). The word yoga actually means yoke or union.Yoking our breath with our movements as we yoke ourselves with our Creator!

Yoga is not a religion. It is a practice of mind and body connection. A spiritual discipline, when lead by scripture, prayer, and worship poses, can encourage patience and cultivate an understanding of what God can manifest in our physical and emotional bodies. Studies show that yoga helps relieve symptoms of many physical and mental ailments, (stress, arthritis, high blood pressure, digestive issues, mental and physical fatigue, etc.) which better equips us to love and glorify Him in wholeness of heart, soul, mind and strength. When we can distance ourselves from the daily grind and find peace in worshiping with the entirety of our being, we find ourselves in the flow of His magnificence and in the midst of His grace. To find out more about Holy Yoga, visit their website.
