ODE TO ARTS ALIVE
With gratitude to our predecessor…
In 1995, God called together a group of people together with a desire for a place where the arts could be taught and HE would be glorified.
As these Christians began to share their vision, God directed them to others with the same desires. Through much prayer and seeking God’s guidance, Arts Alive Fine Arts Studio was born. The Lord provided godly teachers for many different classes in the arts.
For 22 years, the Lord provided beautifully for Arts Alive. Hundreds of students learned about the performing arts and learned to skillfully use their talents to serve others and serve the God who created them.
Theatre productions presented the truths of Scripture, carefully woven into the dialogue and theme, and the recitals used music to offer praise to the Lord. Rejoice! Dance Ministry visited (and still visits) nursing homes, area churches, and large community events, honoring God through liturgical dance.
Arts Alive was born to glorify God through the arts, and closed its doors in May 2017 with a final recital that did just that: “Glorify God”.
Alamance Fine Arts Academy humbly acknowledges Arts Alive as its inspirational predecessor. AFAA began with love and prayers from the Arts Alive Family. As we press on toward a new season God is beginning with AFAA, we do so with much gratitude for Arts Alive.
